Purpose
  • ADD-N40 can be used as supplied. ADD-N40 has been successfully used to produce a wide range of aqueous slurries and dispersions. Suitable substrates include calcium carbonate, kaolin/china clay, dolomite, ferrite, magnesium hydroxide, mica, satin white, talc, titanium dioxide, zinc oxide etc. ADD-N40 can be used to increase the solids loading of the required inorganic dispersion or reduce the working viscosity at a given solids content.

  • ADD-A40 can be used as supplied. The neutralizing alkali used in conjunction with the acrylic polymer can significantly impact the properties of the final coating. ADD-A40 releases ammonia during the drying process and therefore has little impact on water and alkaline resistance of the dry film. Use of ADD-A40 should be limited to pH 5 -10.5 and temperatures lower than 70°C due to potential loss of volatile ammonia.

  • Reactive UV-Absorber combined with a Hindered Amine Light stabilizer for air-drying coatings especially for alkyd systems. ADD-7730 is developed on paint chemistry and transforms the ultra violet component of the daylight (300 – 400 nm) into harmless heat, thus eliminating the destructive action of UV-light and also provides significantly extended life time to coatings by minimizing paint defects such as cracking and loss of gloss. ADD-7730 contains a reactive group that cross-links with the alkyd-resins structure during the oxidative drying.

  • ADD-7200 is a halogen-free, quaternary ammonium compound. ADD-7200 increases the conductivity in elastomers (polyurethane foams) and thermoplastics (polyesters). It also will reduces the build-up of static electricity in inks and coatings. The compound is equipped with reactive hydroxyl groups, which ensure that the compound is irreversibly built in the plastic after the setting process, giving a permanent high conductivity.

ADD-7101 controls settling of pigments in solvent-borne coatings and pigment concentrates by developing more shear-thinning rheological behaviour. ADD-7101 will prevent the formation of hard pigment sedimentation on the bottom of the can.
