Description
ADD-3906
ADD-3906 is a micronized low molecular weight polyethylene wax which improves the surface properties of aqueous and solvent paints and lacquers as well as printing inks.
Applications and usage
- Due to the specific composition of ADD-3906, it will give the following advantages:
- Improves slip and scratch resistance
- Increases anti-blocking properties in all systems
- Functions as matting agent, especially in curtain coating applications
- Prevents hard sedimentation of pigmented systems
In pigmented coatings it should be incorporated during the dispersion stage. In clear coatings it must be dispersed by a high speed dissolver. Usage 0.5 – 2.0% based on total formulation
Storage, safety & handling
Should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. Should be handled in accordance with good industrial practice.
