ADD-5001 is cost-effective wetting and dispersing additive to improve pigment wetting and stabilize the pigment dispersion. It is a controlled flocculating agent and is therefore preferably used in primers and undercoats.
ADD-5001:
- helps to prevent interfacial tension between hydrophilic pigments/extenders and binders.
- is preferably used in primers and undercoats. If gloss requirements are not too high, it can also be used in topcoats.
- creates thixotropy and therefore prevents flooding and floating, settling of the pigments and reduces sagging.
Storage, safety & handling
Should be stored in a cool dry place. When kept in an original unopened container, it will keep up to 5 years from the date of manufacture. Should be handled in accordance with good industrial practice.
